Joe Eason is a multidisciplinary creative living in Colchester Essex. After working as an actor throughout childhood, Joe founded the small fringe theatre company VF Theatre Co after leaving school. The company produced a number of amateur productions before taking a new musical, '1,000 Suns' written and composed by Joe to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2012.
Joe went on to study Theatre Production Arts at Mountview, culminating in a lead design role on ‘The Notebook of Trigorin’, directed by Rebecca Frecknall. Since graduating he has worked as a designer, playwright, composer, illustrator, art director, and actor on an array of theatre, film, and personal projects.
His main focus for the past few years has been as a digital artist creating queer fantasy and sci-fi artworks. Since 2023 he has been working as the writer/composer of Two Come Home, taking the show on an English Fringe tour in 2024, and an off-west end run in 2025 at The Cockpit Theatre. Two Come Home has received numerous award wins and nominations including ‘New Play’, 'Lighting', ‘Production’, ‘Musical Contribution’ and ‘Lead Performance In A Play’ from the Offies and Fringe Theatre Awards.
